Submit BCN initial and follow-up authorization requests for PT, OT and ST to eviCore starting May 27, 2019

Starting May 27, 2019, eviCore healthcare will manage all authorization requests for outpatient physical, occupational and speech therapy by therapists and physical medicine services by chiropractors. This applies to BCN HMO^SM (commercial) and BCN Advantage^SM members and includes requests for both initial and follow-up services.

In addition, BCN is working with eviCore to implement the corePath^SM authorization model for these requests. corePath will streamline the authorization process and make it easier for providers to submit authorization requests. It's the same model that was implemented for Blue Cross Medicare Plus Blue^SM PPO authorization requests starting Jan. 1, 2018.
